Old Delhi or Purani Dilli - 110006, Daryaganj, Chandni Chowk and others

Well this is about a place near central delhi which throws a light on the much traditional, realistic and simpler day and night life of Old Delhi. The Rikshaws, the Pan Stains (thooke hue pan ka nishan) on the historical walls, the charsees (smack inhalers) mostly you will find it in the narrow streets or bylanes of Daryaganj and nearby areas. The secular atmosphere in Delhi-6 is what attracts me the most. Often I come there with my friend Minnat Hussain, and have some delicious Non-Veg dish that is Chicken Changezi followed by a glass full of Lassi. How much the New Delhi has undergone changes but the traditional Old Delhi is still marvellous and quite unchangeable but modernity is there. Old Delhi's Chandni Chowk has got almost all the Public Sector Banks as well as Private Banks. If you are a Sikh then you can go to Sheeshganj Gurudwara or if you are a Muslim you can go to Fatehpuri Masjid or if you are a Hindu you can go to Hindu temples or a Christian you can have the way to Church nearby. Amazing isn't it.

So, for the people of the world this is my suggestion to you especially for those who visit or are planning to visit India. You go to Kashi, Mathura, Vrindavan or Mumbai, Goa, Kerala or Janpath, Nehru Place, CP but atleast go to OLD DELHI once. Sure you would enjoy.

GUYS NEW DELHI IS A SECULAR PLACE TO LIVE. WE SHOULD MAINTAIN IT OR ELSE SUFFER DUE TO IGNORANCE. DON"T BE A SLAVE TO SOMEBODY"S BRAINWASHING. JUST COME OUT AND SEE HOW GREAT THE LIFE IS FOR EVRYBODY.

WE WELCOME ALL THE VISITORS TO OUR GREAT CITY CALLED DELHI.

WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.

Take Care
